Golden Visa
It is known as Golden Visa (also called a golden visa and gold visa) in the residence visa for investors that allows non-resident foreigners to legally reside and work in Spain who make a significant investment in capital. This visa was created to support entrepreneurs and whether internationalization with the aim of attracting foreign non-EU investors.
In real estate matters, the acquisition of real estate in Spain must be done for a minimum value of at least 500,000 euros free of charges, that is, without loans or mortgages.
The duration of the Golden Visa is one year, except in the purchase of properties through a deposit contract, which in this case is six months. Once this period has passed, the investor must request a residence permit to continue residing and working in Spain for up to three years.
The family members of the investor, spouse or person linked to an affective relationship, children under 18 years of age or financially dependent or dependent offspring may also apply for a visa.
This visa is governed by Law 14/2013, of 27 September, to support entrepreneurs and their internationalization.
